Im managed to lose my .tmx file … but i did save it as a .PNG …
is there a way of loading my .png into Tiled then maybe copying what ive already done .?

I think ShoeBox can do what you’re after based on its Extract Tiles action.
Tiled itself can’t do this yet, but the functionality is tracked by the following issue and I still hope to get around to it sometime:
