How do you define the hero of the starting point?

Everything is in the title. For the moment I use a layer or each tile represents a sprite and tile appears when I converted sprite. My tile 0 is my hero. I find it tedious, you have other options?

Place a rectangle or tile object on an object layer is another solution.

Or if many of your tiles are actually dynamic game objects (ie they move) give the tiles in the tileset properties via the properties editor.

However not all TMX loader libraries support object layers & objects or (tile) properties.
