Tiled maps library

Hello,

In order to bootstrap a personal game project of the strategic kind, I am searching for existing tiled maps, for instance a map of Europe or some country.

Does anyone know of a website where I could find existing maps files?

You may want to check out how Endless Legend enables the community to create custom maps, here’s a tutorial they wrote on their forums:

There is an example map of the British Isles available on Steam, but you may need the game to download that one.

Otherwise, I’m not aware of a website hosting Tiled maps as such. It’s something I would be interested in setting up, but I just don’t have time for it.

I will have a look at existing strategy games that use Tiled format.
