(New at Tiled, most recent version of Tiled for macOS) I’m trying to export a map to use as a background on Gather.town, but the export as image option doesn’t give me the choice to select a file type — and when I look at the exported file, it’s a .bmp, automatically. From everything I’ve seen, I should be able to export as a .png, or choose other image file types. I’ve tried exporting maps from two completely different projects, same things both times — no option to export image as anything other than bitmap. Any ideas?
The file type is determined by what you select when you choose where to save the file. AFAIK in the MacOS system dialog, the file type selection is somewhat hidden. I don’t know enough about that OS to give you directions on how to choose the proper file type. You may be able to just type in the filename with the extension you want, but I’m not sure whether that works on MacOS.
Usually, yes, but no option to choose filetype. Just adding .png worked fine though, thanks! My map already had a .png in the name from before, so I assumed it would notice that lol. But all good, thanks!
