How do I use the paint feature?

I click the tile,i try using it ,right click, left click,drag etc,it won’t work

ok,I just learned that part to click the brush icon,now the problem is I can’t drag when painting,so I click 1 tile paint at a time,please help.

Are you trying to paint on a Tile Layer? In your screenshot, you only have an Object Layer, you cannot paint tiles on Object Layers (you can place Tile Objects, but indeed those are only one at a time). Make sure you have a Tile Layer and are using the Stamp Brush on that. You should be able to drag to paint.

By the way, your tileset seems to be set up incorrectly. The image seems to be scaled up, but the tile size seems set to be as if it weren’t scaled up, so it’s broken up into tiles incorrectly.

Thank you,I did eventually figure out the paint bit,but how to i hold it down when painting?i had to click repeatedly to paint.

You should be able to hold down your mouse button and drag to paint continuously. Many of Tiled’s tools rely on click+drag like this.

If click+drag doesn’t work, your Tiled install might be busted, or there may be an issue with your OS.
