How do you reset all settings? (especially for panel/window positions)

Thanks in advance for passionate responses m( _ _ )m

On Linux:

rm ~/.config/mapeditor.org/tiled.conf

On Windows, use the RegEdit to delete:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\mapeditor.org\Tiled

On macOS it’s similar to the Linux way, but I can’t remember the path now.

Awesome  Now I know how to reset Tiled Map Editor in Ubuntu 18.04  seen that it is not so easy to re-install it as in Windows … Now Linux is even more cool … now that i can use Tiled in Linux  Thanks for this post on how to reset Tiled

In the meantime if you just want to reset panel/window positions you can select View > Views and Toolbars > Reset to Default Layout.

On Ubuntu (Ubuntu 24.04.2 LTS Tiled Version 1.11.1-99-gec89c545).
I accidentally detached the tileset window.
The reset windows to default position does not reset the floating tileset window position.
In fact, I can’t even move the window around when Tiled is in fullscreen.
In windowed mode I can move the window around but select reset window position just moves the window back to the center of the screen.
After windowing and then maximizing Tiled again I was able to move the window around but there was no way of re-attaching to its home position.
Also missing on the window itself are resizing from anywhere except the lower right corner.

The terminal command posted does not work with snapped Tiled.
Its somewhere under the snap directory. I deleted two tiled.config files and had to reload project but that worked to get the window back in its home.
One was at ~/snap/tiled/4757 and the other at ~/snap/tiled/4760

You’ve found it! Probably I should add the location when installed as snap to the Manual.

In addition, indeed the dockable views are not behaving correctly on Wayland with old Qt versions and unfortunately the Tiled snap is still using Qt 5 since my attempt at upgrading it hasn’t worked so far. You may want to try whether installing Tiled from Flathub gets you a better working version, since that one does use Qt 6.
