Hello,
The major grid property is very useful in case you are constructing multiple screens map. May I suggest to create two major grid options? One vertical and second horizontal.
This will be quite useful to observe a screen boundaries.

This would be a very useful option for me. I would like to set the major grid differently for the horizontal and the vertical, because my room sizes are not square.
I don’t know when this was added, but it seems to be an option in 1.9.2 under Edit > Preferences > Interface > Major grid.
