At the moment translations of the manual are not supported. Monday I can work on moving the documentation over to a new system where it will be possible to do translations as well.
If you’re wondering about the details, I’d like to move the documentation to the Sphinx format and host it at https://readthedocs.org/. They support translations of the documentation, however that page is very sparse on the details so right now I don’t really know how it works.

Ok, I think what would be nice is to make sure that no one can translate and so they have brought their stones to the building.
I’ve spent basically the whole day today (rather longer than I had expected) to get this to work, but there is now a new place for the Tiled Manual (work in progress, still):

As you can see, it features a separate URL for a French translation (which is currently the same as the English, apart from a few translated built-in words from Sphinx). Soon I will set up a translation service (either Weblate or Transifex) for translating the documentation to French, and any other language. I’ll let you know as soon as translating is possible, and of course I’m counting on your help!

I said I would set it up soon. Unfortunately, it’s taken me way too much time already, causing me not to get around to some other things which I’ll really have to do first now. I hope I can finish settings this up by next week.

I still had to change the structure of the translation files and then request the translation components to be set up on Weblate. But, now it is done and you can start translating the manual here: https://hosted.weblate.org/projects/tiled/
The “Tiled” component is the application itself. The other components are part of the manual:
Weblate will commit any translations you’re doing to its local git repository. If you would like to see your translation updated at Documentation de Tiled — Documentation Tiled 1.10.2, just ask me to merge the changes into the main repository, after which readthedocs.org will automatically rebuild it.
I would suggest that while translating, you keep the documentation at Tiled Documentation — Tiled 1.10.2 documentation open alongside to have a better sense of the context of the things you’re translating.
Since you’re the first to go about this, let me know how it goes! If this approach works well then we can probably find translators for some other languages as well.
Finally just a note of warning, that the original documentation is still quite out of date in some places and I will be rewriting parts of it, which will of course require the translations to be redone later.

Le composant “Carrelé” est la demande(l’application) lui-même. Les autres composants font partie du manuel :
Index(Indice) de Documentation : un petit composant couvrant juste la page d’index(indice) de la documentation.

Référence : les pages de référence, qui documentent le format de TMX, ses changements(monnaies) au fil du temps et la liste de bibliothèques et des cadres le supportant(soutenant).Weblate commettra(engagera) n’importe quelles traductions que vous faites à son dépôt de con local. Si vous voudriez voir votre traduction mise à jour à http: // Documentation de Tiled — Documentation Tiled 1.10.2, me demander juste de fusionner les changements(monnaies) dans le dépôt principal, après que readthedocs.org le reconstruira automatiquement.
Je suggérerais qu’en traduisant, vous continuiez la documentation à http: // tiled.readthedocs.io/en/latest/ouverts à côté à avoir un meilleur sens du contexte des choses que vous traduisez.
Puisque vous êtes les premiers à en aller, faites-moi savoir comment il va! Si cette approche marche bien alors nous pouvons probablement trouver des traducteurs pour quelques autres langues aussi.
Finalement juste une note(un billet) d’avertissement, que la documentation originale est toujours tout à fait périmée(démodée) en quelques endroits(places) et j’en récrira les parties, qui exigera bien sûr que les traductions soient refaites plus tard.
Hello; well, I am going to try to translate. But I warn that, I do not speak English and that I would translate with Google translation. Then I would try to do so that it is readable.
That sounds fine. Please do ask for clarification if there is anything unclear in what Google Translate spits out. Also, be careful with syntax for references and other parts that should not be translated.
Note that there are also several translation services built-in to Weblate under the “Machine translation” tab below the Translate section.

You should probably try to find somebody who can help you with it, since it is a lot of work and when you’re working with somebody else it’s easier to find good sounding translations.

I would like to help to translate the Tiled documentation in french.

And @bjorn , is there a documentation about tiled method translation ?
The documentation mostly applies to translating Tiled itself: Translating Tiled · mapeditor/tiled Wiki · GitHub. Beyond that, everything I said in my post up there (Translation help in French - #10 by bjorn) still applies regarding translating the documentation.
Thanks for considering to help with this effort! Before you start though, I need to look into updating the source files to the current version of the manual.

Heh, we seem to have inherited this one from the KArchive library, used for writing ZIP files. Hmm, actually since it’s currently not used for reading ZIP files, you can skip those strings for now.
